Review of Monday's Games

We struggled in the first game, but came on strong at the end, eventually losing 14-10. In the second game, as visitors, we scored five runs in the first, then gave up three in the bottom of the first. In the second inning our first eleven batters got hits and scored consecutively, including a grand slam by Dan Meehan and a finishing three run homer by Jeff Morris's roommate Garrett Murch. We added a single run in the fourth inning and six more in the top of the fifth. Even though we gave up a couple of runs in the bottom of the fith, we won 23-6. The highlight of the night was when Mike Chapman hit his first ever career home run over the left field fence in the fifth inning, only to have it called an out because we already had three home runs.

I will have the stats ready to post soon. They will look pretty good for most of the team.
