Well, you just knew it was bound to happen again. Al Boyd, 2 outs, tie game, time up, runners on....This time he delivered. (boy he's gonna kill me for that!) (Just kidding Al!!!)
In uncharacteristic Boyd fashion nonetheless -- a can of corn that dropped in -- Chris Boniface, who will likely win his first MVP award, scored from 3rd, and the Stripes win. And the stands emptied onto the field to celebrate with the Stripes as they finished a 14-4 season, not knowing if they won the league or not.
Surely Herr Meldrum will let us know when he finds out.
The post-game celebration at our sponsor featured a sure-to-be-locked-out-of-his-house-by-his-angry-wife Mike Chapman holding court and ensuring that we fulfilled our fiscal responsibility to our patron.
Stay Tuned for final stats and news about season awards and post-season party.
Great Season Boys!
Thanks Tom
