What Else is New
We always lay an egg in our first series of the season. It's inevitable. Maybe we should start getting together before the season starts, get the rust off. Maybe it wouldn't matter.
Game 1 wasn't too bad. Despite some towering home runs from the former Vox Sox, We took the lead in the bottom of the 4th, 10-8. But Stardust (can't write that without laughing) came back with 5 in the top of the 5th, and we were unable to answer.
Game 2 was just crap. We could never get it going at the plate, and when we did, with bases loaded and 1 out, we grounded into the rare 1-2-5 double play.
Glad we got that out of our system, can't remember the last time we were shut out. Anyone know?
See you next week, let's bring the bats with us.
